Question
I’ve been feeling anxious and low lately. Is that normal in pregnancy?

Maia’s answer
It is very common to experience changes in your mood, anxiety, or feelings of sadness during pregnancy, but that doesn't mean you have to carry those feelings alone. Many people experience these shifts, and they are recognized as important health conditions that are both real and treatable.

Because you have been feeling this way, I strongly encourage you to talk with your healthcare provider about what you are going through. They are well-equipped to support you, discuss how you’re feeling, and help you find safe, effective options to help you feel better. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and seeking support is a positive and proactive step for both you and your baby.
